Racing Career Start: 2021

New Zealand racing driver Rianna O’Meara-Hunt joined E1 Team Miami, powered by MAGNUS, from Round 2 of the 2026 UIM E1 World Championship in Lake Como, Italy. Her signing followed an impressive debut at the season-opener in Jeddah where, despite limited preparation time and no prior experience in electric powerboat racing, the 24-year-old delivered a competitive performance to finish fifth alongside Erik Stark for Sierra Racing Club.

 

O’Meara-Hunt began her racing career in karting at the age of eight, going on to become the first junior female to win an Australian Rotax State Championship and New Zealand Rotax Max Challenge rounds in 2017. In 2023, she made history as part of the first all-female driver pairing to win in the GT4 Aston Martin Vantage, securing double victory at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and was later selected to the Aston Martin Racing Elite Academy and Forsetti Motorsport, Aston Martin’s GT4 factory team, where she secured multiple podiums in the GT Cup, including victory at Snetterton. Now taking on her first full-time race seat in the E1 Series, she brings exciting versatility to Team Miami’s line-up.
