DISAPPOINTMENT IN DUBROVNIK

🇭🇷 DUBROVNIK RECAP – A TOUGH WEEKEND IN PARADISE

The E1 World Championship made its Croatian debut this month, with the E1 Dubrovnik GP presented by Adriatic Luxury Hotels delivering big-city drama and coastal spectacle in equal measure.

Team Miami powered by Magnus arrived ready to shake things up in a brand-new location. With the Launch Zone set in the heart of the old town, a buzzing local crowd, and a chop on the water, the stage was spectacular — but the weekend itself tested us from the start.

⚙️ EARLY TROUBLE, HARD LESSONS

A technical issue in practice and qualifying threw our setup into flux, with both Anna & Erik finding the boat tricky to handle. We fought to find balance in choppy conditions but sadly ended up qualifying last (P9) and had to change the left foil after it was damaged by contact with a Smart Mark.

Race day brought more bad luck but we were luckily able to crane out and make some changes to the rear foil before we went into racing. Another collision with a course mark and a lap strategy hiccup meant we crossed the finish line 9th overall — not the result we wanted, but a huge learning moment for the team.

“We knew this would be a challenging circuit, but the foil issue really knocked us sideways before we even got going. We tried to reset, but we never found the rhythm we needed. Still — it’s all part of the process. These days sting, but they also sharpen us.”

Dubrovnik marked the first race for our new partner Campbell Capital Management, whose branding featured on both the RaceBird and pilot helmets. Their support adds fresh energy to the team, and it was fantastic to welcome them in person to experience the full E1 weekend up close.

🛥️ RACING MEETS LUXURY

Off the water, we brought Italian style to the Adriatic by hosting guests aboard an impressive Azimut 78 Fly positioned right in the bay kindly provided by Navis Marine. It became a VIP launchpad for photography, content creation, and great conversations — proof that Team Miami delivers an experience, on and off the race course.

🏆 CONGRATS TO THE PODIUM

A huge shoutout to Aoki Racing Team and Dani Clos for taking their second win of the season, with Team Brady and Team AlUla rounding out the top three. LeBron James earns his first podium as team owner.

⏭️ ON TO ITALY

We regroup now and head to Lake Maggiore, Italy for Round 4 of the E1 season, June 28–29. The team’s already hard at work back in the workshop — heads high, data in hand, ready to climb back up the standings
